An Organically Homegrown Green Mountain Rock & Rastabilly Trio of Free-Range Human Beings hell bent on doing it all on their own!
Trying not conform to any of the kitchee and sometimes degrading “labels” while still paying respectful homage to the greats that have helped form their core. Rick Redington
& The Luv deliver shows with a style and class and heartfelt achievement that has taken years of wins and losses to develop.
A new record called “The Circus” is being released first on West Coast Radio, back to Vermont and now broadcast worldwide. This new effort finds R.R.&The Luv in some very good company. Besides the usual line-up of Rick /Guitars & StringedThings, Heather Lynne/Upright & Downright Basses and Blake Gowan on all things Drummable, in The Circus we find guest appearances by members of Legendary New Riders Of The Purple Sage’s own Buddy Cage/Pedal Steel and David Nelson/Mandolin as well as Professor Frank Chase on “Cathouse Piano” along with Walter White on “Savage Horns”. The Luv is also very pleased to be joined by our three Wonderous Kids Zoe Mcfadden (Heather's daughter) and Ben & Maya Redington (RR children) on Backup Vocals & Too Much Fun!
Nearly three years in the making during one of the most challenging economic times has produced an album of some considerable listening weight. Recorded at Mount Hollywood Studio in the Heart of Vermont and mixed with care by our friend Cooper Anderson, this collection of acts is strung together not unlike the ragged side-show circuses of the early days and reveals its worn out edges with much pride.
The Greatest Show On Earth is usually that which twists and turns itself around and one day shows itself to you in some freak show mirror reflected as your own strange yet
wonderful life!
The Circus Ring Leader Rick Redington has released Six Albums to date and this very well could be THE BIG SHOW we have all been waiting for! Side Show Freaks Heather & Blake’s first studio effort shows them at the top of their game with sweet Bass & Drum Rhythms that take us from one end of the globe to the other and keep Spreadin’ The Luv!
